Yeah, about last Thursday…

Last Thursday was my first day back to work in about three months. You kind of get used to getting up whenever and if that means staying up late to finish a comic, so be it. But as I lay in bed trying to sleep and remember all of the stuff I need to cover on the first day of class I remember I didn’t have a comic ready, so what you got was what I could knock out in a few minutes in the wee hours of the morning.

I haven’t used word balloons in the past, except for the Narrator, because they are a bit of a pain to make. Or, rather, they were rather a pain to make. I found a tutorial that lets me crank these babies out in about five seconds, and they look nice, too. I’m not sure how much I’ll use them, as I’ve established a look for the strip, but with all of these heavy verticals I wanted to make sure it was obvious who was saying what.  We’ll see how that works.
